Below are links to course syllabi for a class I have taught and several I would love to teach. Each design would need to be adjusted for the local context and population; however, they eximplify my teaching philosphy. As is evident in these designs, I believe that writing is very contextual. Thus, whenever possible, I encourage students to discover and learn to see what is around them so that they can use what we discuss in other situations. I encourage students to acknowledge their role as assessors of the writing they do and read in order to emphasize their ability to work with writing in other situations. Also represented is my desire to incoporate technology when available.
